LEGIONS OF THE DAMNED

This is a story as old as time, perhaps much more so than
most can imagine. A story of the cycle of rebirth and the death
that is nessacary to achieve such a transformation. It is my
story.
On a cold windy evening along the pier, i walked away from
what my life had been, the sorrow past bearing, the relentless
pain, the certainty of loss upon loss, and the knowledge that no
matter what, the end would be six feet of soil or an urn
forgotten on a shelf. Life had ceased to be worth enduring. I no
longer cared. All my days i had known an acheing, an emptiness, a
hollow echo that would not be silenced. I was full up with sorrow
and wanted the peace that only death would bring. I walked away.
Past the laughing couples, past the fresh youths in their
short-lived bloom, past all that i had know, seeking the silence
of places untouched by echos of the joyful herd. The sad and
silent places. in the distance i heard the thunder roll as
thesounds of humanity faded away. i walked away. along the long,
lonely beach to the old pier. My plan was made and soon i would
be free. But I had no idea what freedom was to come...........
down to
the end of the pier. then i sensed someone calling to me but
there were no words. A scent on the wind, a memory of another
time, impossibly long ago, the echo of one familiar to me.
I turned to the one who had come for me. No fear but a deep feeling
of surrender as he drew me to him. enveloping me. I knew then and
willingly offered him my throat, my life, my very soul. To become
as he is and to be with him always. In each other, we are
complete. The love of our kind excceds that of which mortals may
dream. The glistening ruby ring i now wear symbolises our bond,
our sweet blood bond and the diamonds surrounding it reflect like
the tears i once shed and shed no more. My dark, dark angel, my
deliverance, my sweet prince of eternal night, my sire, my love,
my life ,my husband.......and even death does not us part.
